Update 7/15/2020 -

Face mask, mouth, and nose covering is required in all buildings, and outside when walking around, or in your paddock, or pitlane. Over the wall during a pit stop, when not fueling (fueling requires helmets etc), a face cover is required. Drivers with their helmets on with face shield down going in and coming out of car exempt; because they have their helmet on.

It is VERY important that these rules are followed by everyone.

Mask =

Helmet with face shield

Balaclava

Face Shield (PPE style, grinding, etc)

Neck Gaiter

Bandana

Medical style face mask, cloth or paper.

Is this event confirmed for July 18-19?  Are hotels open?

Can't answer the first question but can say hotels are open but are limited as the smaller independent hotels are the ones mainly closing. If you book through one of the major chains they will tell you if they are open or closed in the area.

After talking with Dana last night about the Watkins Glen cancellation, it looks as if the captains are looking at Nelson Ledges and Charlotte to transfer their entries to. Be aware that this event is limited to 60 entries because of the somewhat short pitlane. This event may sell out.
If you have any questions about this event, please contact the event director at chelsey.vickery@champcar.org

I just got like a 40 day reprieve for getting the car finished and tested! Yay!

Imma try to get everything except the wiring done this week.  Next week wiring.  Following 2 weeks aero.

above is a printable flyer I made for handing out at Nelson Ledges track events. Please hand them out.

I have sent them to Fred at the track too.  I think we can easily sell this track out! It's that good.

We are having a potluck I am assuming for this race.  As it gets closer I will go ahead and get it organized.

Great idea Tyler.   Better than eating at unknown establishments.

Hey you dont have to participate but I'll be there hanging out in open air with racers. Plenty of alcohol to kill the virus :)

Nathan told me he's bringing a 5 gallon bucket of hand sanitizer and is requiring his team to sanitize their hands before and after every contact with a tool.
