mostmint
Track Announcer???? That's extra.LOL - Have not been to an event yet. Don't add that if it costs more money. Instead how about an open mic then so we can hear the car sounds with the video.

Guest robweenerpi
I can't help but notice the unused and charboiled fire extinguisher in that Escort picture. It was totally worthless as I watched the driver even make an effort to reach in and grab it. The crew at The Rock saved that car and should be commended publicly. They did an A+ job responding quickly. />http://store.bimmerworld.com/spa-firefighter-afff-fire-system---4l-multiflow-steel-p621.aspx it's 300 bucks well spent.
Evilwheel
I had a great view of the fire looking thou the windshield, the flames were a couple of feet tall in the car. He was smart to bail and really had no chance to reach back for the fire bottle. He would have to had put his head back into the fire to get it ! The fire crew did respond very fast ! dweymer
I was in the tower right above the car, there was no way that extinguisher was going to do anything for this event. It was far too large by that point, the car stopped about 100 feet past where fire rescue was, otherwise, this would have been a toasted car. I spoke with fire in the tower after, and they commended the driver, and I commended them. It was dealt with VERY well by everyone involved. gsmith2424
The car stoped right in front of me and I can second the fact that the bottle in the car wouldn't have done anything. I was on top of our truck yelling at the driver to get out as I could see the fire was starting to get out of hand. But hats off to the saftey crew for getting there quickly and putting that fire out.
scrowner
5 Hours, 6 Minutes, Lap 223Current standings...#2 Blitzen Benz#91 RBanks Racing#66 Jacky Ickx#20 Dirty E-Thirties#0 Riffraf RacingLove it! We got into the top 5 for and for good long time. We had to borrow front wheels in our last pit and then we had some crazy complete engine stop issues in the last 45 minutes of the race. I am sure everyone racing for first was royally pissed at us and our team is sorry. The problem would go away and then come back and our last time out the flag station told us to sit on the side of the track - no one would help us in the end if it happened a 3rd time. It did happen a 3rd time but the driver got it stared and took the checkered. I am sorry if this car #20 issue caused #91 to not win it a second time. You are welcome to those teams who benefited from our car slowing the end of the race down! Thanks to Team in the #33, Nissan that lent us two wheels to get us through the end of the race!
