Bullet45
I see cars for sale and rent that say "has a seat slider" Can the racing seat be mounted safely to the stock slider? Also what does everyone do to mount to the back cage? Pin it. Any help would be appreciated. I build cars for a living but this is my first enduro car with drivers short and tall... TimS
I didn’t use OEM slider(didn’t have one). So I bought an FIA homologated unit from Sparco like this one. https://www.racing-seats-usa.com/sparco-sliders.html
Bullet45
So nothing from back of seat to the cage? I know the new composite seats say not to mount the back.
TimS
There are adjustable back braces out there as well. Many seats have threaded bosses moulded into the seat to accommodate a brace. FIA homologated seats are tested without braces. So depending on your seat you may or may not “need” a brace. My favorite and recommended seat has both. See the Racetech seat catalog.
