enginerd
Looking to add some pizazz to the brake calipers. I have used some parts store "brake caliper spray paint" which vanished in just a few hours of track time. I ended up using the rest of the can on some of the roll cage and it was excellent paint, just not brake caliper worthy. Short of sending our equipment out to a specialty shop, what DIY "paint" products have you used that stand up to race track brake caliper temps? Ian
Powder coat. I haven't found any paint that will handle the temperatures our calipers hang around at. The factory orange/gold powder coat that were one the Z brembos we ran for a while held up fine.
MMiskoe
In the past I would use a high-heat engine enamel rattle can and expect it to bake off. But you could judge the age of the last re-build by the quality of the paint. When the paint starts looking poor, you know its time to service them. Painting was part of the rebuild. Administrators Bill Strong Posted December 19, 2022 Administrators Report Share Posted December 19, 2022 Lead paint, applied super heavy, works well. The heavier the better.

Just make sure all those shiny bits keep the engine oil inside. We all saw how much oil left the last time you made changes. We saw it while going through the grass off of turn 6. Cant wait for Autobahn!
