Troy Hubers
Does our fuel cell need a rubber flap under the lid? Or are we able to use the fuel cell as is? We plan on fueling the car with the driver out at all times. We do not have a firewall in between the driver and fuel cell, BUT the fuel cell is in the trunk, and the fuel cell is totally enclosed by another metal containment. Thanks in Advance
Gkuhn41
You will need a metal firewall in-between the cell and all fuel carrying components and the driver. the metal container the cell is in does not count. Driver in or out during fueling does not matter in this case either. We had to seal our rear seat wall with foam. If you can shine a light from one side and see it from the other it is not sealed. Best bet is to talk directly to Tech not ask on here as nothing here is official.

Thanks in Advance Make sure that the flapper is directed the right way. I've seen a few cars that are terribly slow filling and it ends up that the fill neck is angled and the flapper is the opposite direction.
