ChumpStang
I know more teams than I've been able to find on the intertubez were running cameras. Only footage I've found of the Chicken in it's limited run time was of it blowing the doors off the loveable Saturn wagon.
Avettey
I have video, 3 hours of it to be exact, but I cannot find an editing software that will cooperate with the file format .mpeg4And I consider myself pretty computer knowledgeable too, I have Adobe CS3 or CS5... I have one and the store computer has the other, not sure which one I have at home. As well as a few other video programs. None like the .mpeg4 format
Bongle
Two options:1) Try renaming it to .mp4 - some video editing packages can be dumb about file extensions. MPEG-4 is a very common encoding format, but I've never heard of a .mpeg4 extension.2) Try the 30-day trial of Sony Vegas: http://www.sonycreat...als/moviestudio

Technical Advisory Committee NigelStu Posted August 29, 2012 Technical Advisory Committee Report Share Posted August 29, 2012 I have some great video from the start of Saturday, hooning and spewing fuel all over the infield..... I was trying to figure out a way I could catch the fuel and put it in my tank, so we could get a bit more time on the tank....And I should have some on Sunday showing the legs that car had on the oval. But its gonna have to wait a bit; I'm in Japan for the week. Guest expensivehobby22
Here you guys go, in car from our day 2 run in with the wall. The right front tire was punctured and the alignment was shifted, but we got the car back out and he ran it for another hour. Upon inspection after the race, it looks like the car came out of it pretty well and that the front frame horns didn't get shifted.I should also mention that this hit happened right as the Cavette was rolling in the pits leaking oil, so, we suspect that some oil on track may have contributed to the incident.Video
Technical Advisory Committee NigelStu Posted August 29, 2012 Technical Advisory Committee Report Share Posted August 29, 2012 Sure was nice of the wall to deposit your mirror back into your car.....True racer. First thing he does is reach up to readjust the mirror! in seriousness, that was a heck of a hit. Hope you are feeling OK.
Jeff G 78
Wow, I'd agree that it looks like either the cut tire or the Cavette's oil contributed. The tires didn't bite at all on turn-in. Do you think the tire got cut from the fender rub, or from the Cavette's engine debris?

Guest expensivehobby22
I'm not sure, the outside of the tire was mangled, so that was likely from the fender as the wall crushed it into the sidewall. Pretty sure the tire was not cut before the hit, but could be a possibility now that you mention it. There was also some damage on the inside of the tire, but we figured that was just from driving it in while flat.Dave said that his neck and hip were a bit sore the next day but otherwise fine.Good guy mirror, get's knocked off by the wall, jumps into the car. Funny stuff.Cheers,Ray
Guest quantumpegasus_cjcarter
Great video CJ. Love the music choices.I can take zero credit for that....Justin Lee, the driver at the time of the battery meltdown, made the video. Those darn youngsters and technology these days ;-). But yeah, I about busted a gut when Burning Ring of Fire started playing.
Jeff G 78
CJ, I saw in the video that he was using a helmet mounted camera which is prohibited in the rules. It's rule 10.18 or something like that. I never noticed the camera on his helmet when you were doing driver swaps. You might want to move it before RA. I'm not sure why it's a rule. Probably due to egress concerns.
