Okay - I'm here. Long day of travel. Hotel (EconoLodge) is the same way it was in 1983, the (first and) last time I raced at NL. It's "rough." Nice to know that some things don't change. I expect that there are still some tires lining the track that were there in 1983, as well.

Rain is definitely in the cards for the weekend; however, I've heard conflicting reports on volume. I;m hoping it's light. Time will tell.

Mike and the East Region ChumpStaff is somewhere nearby... and Kent (Stigdad) is coming in tomorrow. The Canada/North Region team is also coming down to help out. It'll be a full house.

I'll add race reports as best I can and as both time and any wi-fi will allow.

I'm off to find some dinner. Club Mac bekons...

John

I would love to see the 25:25:25 get moved up about two weeks next year. The weather in N.E. Ohio is always beautiful right up until the end of September and then it gets cold and rainy just in time for the NL race. Last year, the weather was great for the race, but the rain over the prior week made NL grounds pretty soggy and treacherous.

I bought snow boots for this one. Don't change the date.

I live not that far from you in NC and have just as much if not more cold weather clothing/gear. But I work out side for a living and need to stay warm. NC gets COLD! Or maybe I'm just a weenie. Thank goodness for my carharts! I wish I could of brought mine with me to NL, but I couldnt fit all that on the plane :(

I have their bib... I usually put 1 or 2 thermal leggings on followed by jeans and then the carhart bib. Best combo ever. So warm! I always wanted to get one of their jackets, but there really big and puffy. Are they really warm? I couldn't imagine a winter with out my bib. Oh, any thoughts on cleaning it?

Solution was easy though. Now I never go to NL without them.

Just got word that an E30 and MR2 got into it near the Kink...E30 went for a ride, a roll and a tumble. Everyone appears to be okay, hope this is not a sign for things to come. And word to the wise: 2 wide through the kink is doable but highly un-advisable!!! Too fast of a section and the run off is soft and mushy...too mainly key ingredients to send cars rolling...be smart out there guys!
