skierman64
I'm glad I checked the forum one last time before I went to bed. There's some major buffoonery going on there.
blau
I notice our #91 car representing it's inability to brake for turns on Day 1. We were having severe rear lockup issues under braking, which lead to a rear-right tire flat-spotting down to the cords and spin-happy handling. Apologies to other teams/corner workers for all that drama. We "fixed" it by completely disconnecting our rear brakes for the second half of Day 1 into Day 2. Guest QuantumPegasus_Kowalewski
I was slightly behind all of this and I think the neon/rx7 wreck happened almost simultaneously or shortly after. As I was coming into T5 the neon was spinning on the inside and then once around that the cars were parked on the uphill run to T6 as shown in the video. Vanquizor
#15 Green Neon- start & end to our week-end. We fought it to get 3 more laps but burned up a pile of parts to do so. With luck driver Chris will post the rear view.[media=]http://youtu.be/iGB04GyYaak

Ya after seeing Vanq's footage you can see the black car off on the grass - as the neon skids across the track
Administrators E. Tyler Pedersen Posted October 23, 2012 Administrators Report Share Posted October 23, 2012 I was driving our car and came over the hill and watched the neon start to fish tail then hit the wall. I backed up quite a bit to make sure I didn't get in the way. When I came around the turn to go up the hill is when I saw another accident. I just didn't understand people pushing so hard on the first lap with it being cold and damp still.
Slugworks Paul
Why did the green neon spin out? Just locked up the brakes?
Guest Adam@EasternBlockAttack
Yeah I pooped a little when you guys hit us. My initial response was that we were done and that the axle was probably bent. Also I watched my side view mirror fly up 40 feet or so into the air. LOL. Yeah lap one wrecks suck! At least we were able to knock it all out with hammers and only loose about 4-5 laps. Thanks for the battle scars, glad everyone involved in that corner was ok though. I will post up our videos soon. We had 2 go pro's running.
Vanquizor
Why did the green neon spin out? Just locked up the brakes?I didn't hear massive lockup or see smoke but something definitely got him loose...Call it pretty aggressive driving for the first time in the car, wet track, tires and brakes that weren't up to temperature, and I'm sure a million other possible causes... End of the day I set up the car to go fast on a dry track, and it looks like it was too much for the driver in these conditions.

Andrew
I believe I spun ahead of your car Sunday into the Bend lol.For some reason we saw a lot of action this weekend. We also got some new paint, though it does match our checkered flag stickers so well done in that regard.

Vanquizor
He is an experienced chump, and I'm sure if he had a reset button he would have played it differently next time... sadly I haven't figured out how to build that feature in and keep it under the $500 cap.
