ChumpCar on MotorTrend TV!!!

A CHEVETTE SIGHTING!!!

I also liked the line "I get smacked by a BMW" when she cuts all the way across the track and runs him off into the grass.

Yeah, you know how TV stuff goes. I chuckled about a few comments in the video, but that was her perspective. We have video from the 300 from right behind the BMW contact, and she definitely moved over on him. We did not get her as much time in the car as we had hoped with the stupid fuel line failure, but maybe there will be a next time ;)

You'd be surprised how many times someone is black flagged for contact and when they come in and we asked what happened they say "yeah. It was my fault"

I say "surprised" because it never really happens.

Joey will appreciate this.

We're at this track day.  I get out of the chump car into the UN-prepared, but identical car, but in street trim.  I make it 6 laps dip a tire off on this corner and the car ricochets up in the air rather than "scooting out and taking a set".  Guy behind me says both rear tires were a foot off the ground.  I'm triple digit speed, and stay on the gas 90 degrees to the line hoping it will catch and I'll be on my way. It eventually caught super hard and swung around 270 degrees before I got one un-wrap on the steering wheel, happened so fast...  I eventually lost it and slid around a lot and came to a stop in a cloud of tire smoke and low self esteem.

I pull off to check the car, it's good, I go back out finish the session.  The track manager guy comes over to the trailer, (this is the part Joey will appreciate), instead of asking "WTH was that, or WTF?!" he says, "... is there anything wrong with the track?"  Nothing else, just that.  Which was kind of genius because it immediately lead to me just taking responsibility for it with a "no, track is fine".  I'm thinking it wasn't his first rodeo.  Made me think about it, take responsibility for it, without ever having really said one word about it.  Clever old dudes... gotta look out for those dudes. :)
